Mutual Aid fund

Eyewitness Palestine’s Mutual Aid Fund is a fund directed at helping Palestinians on the ground, supporting various projects and programs. This fund helps farmers, youth, women and a variety of others in an effort to support Palestinians during our delegations should these projects coincide with the theme of our trip.

MUTUAL AID FUND SUCCESSES

October 2023 - Although our 2023 Olive Harvest delegation was not able to go due to the situation on the ground, we still managed to deliver $10,000 of olive harvesting equipment to the Land and Farming Co-operative based in Burin, Southern Nablus which works with surrounding villages; Madama, Aserah, Alqblyah, Urif, Ainabus and Huwara. Farmers in these areas are surrounded by a violent settlement which often attack farmers trying to harvest their land. These 25 handheld machines reduced the farmers' time of harvesting one olive tree into one third of the time it would usually take them. Special thanks to Cultures of Resistance for their support in making this happen.

Our Mutual Aid Fund is in Memory of:

Ruth L. H. Tracy "Direct Project" Memorial Fund

Dedicated to supporting the Palestinian struggle for freedom, Ruth Tracy headed up the fundraising efforts for the Ohio chapter of IFPB/Eyewitness Palestine.  Setting up booths at Fair Trade shows with Canaan products directly from Jenin, Palestine, Ruth did not only raise funds, she also raised awareness by constantly speaking up for Palestinians and helping tell their stories.

After Ruths passing, the Ohio Chapter set up the Ruth L. H. Tracy fund, dedicated to "work on the ground" supporting Palestinians directly.
