Operations Manager
Opportunity/Position Synopsis
The Operations Manager will work with Executive Director and Board to ensure the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans. Set and implement strategic goals for operational efficiency. Oversee and ensure goals are met in the development of financial and budgetary plans. Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary leading EP’s approach to movement building and strategic programming. Overseeing and maintaining relationships with our partners in programming as well as ensuring all are well documented. This position includes maintaining EP’s CRM. Some travel may be required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Operations (40%)
Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles
Decision making regarding operational activity and strategic goals
Plan, monitor, and analyze day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks/programming
Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs EP-wide, and implement process improvements
Work with ED to ensure Standard Operation Procedures handbook is up to date and that EP guidelines and procedures are being followed
Work closely with Executive Director to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
Administration (40%)
Management of daily operational activities
Various administrative tasks and documentation
Managing CRM (EA) updates and reporting
Meeting with Bookkeeper monthly to ensure all updates to QuickBooks have been made with adequate reports uploaded to SharePoint
Engages in opportunities for learning, growth, and professional development related to communications, marketing, and fund development
Overseeing Human Resources documents and assisting when needed in HR processes
Attending team meetings and one-on-ones/supervision with ED on a regular basis
Attending meetings with Board if and when requested
Fundraising (20%)
Working with ED on various avenues to bring in new funding
Assisting when needed for end of year and other fundraising campaigns for Eyewitness Palestine
Reports to: Executive Director
Supervises: N/A
Status: This is a full-time position with generous benefits, including full health care, 20 vacation days, comp days for weekends worked, and seniority raises
Salary Scale: $70,000 per annum

Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as an Operations Manager or other managerial position/experience
Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
Experience in overseeing and supporting Programming work
Strong communication skills
Excellent written, verbal, and editing skills in English. Other languages a plus.
Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and CRMs preferably Every Action
Strong skills in financial management and in-house accounting
Knowledge of QuickBooks
Broad understanding of Palestine politics
Creative and flexible problem-solver
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities while working with multiple individuals
Familiarity with Eyewitness Palestine a plus
Commitment to social justice and strong belief in mission and values of EP
Ability and willingness to supervise a few key volunteers to assist in your work
Commitment to values of EP, including principles of solidarity, features of organizational culture, and comfort working in EP’s structure
Ability to work with other (including remote) staff in a collaborative environment
Broad understanding of contemporary social movements in North America
Interest and ability to work constructively and openly with a wide range of individuals coming from a wide range of backgrounds and understandings regarding the politics of Palestine and social movements in North America
