Watercolors: Reflection Ritual
During our time Palestine, I continued my daily watercolor painting practice each evening. At home, painting is part of my intention setting in the morning. However, during this trip, I shifted to the evenings as a reflection ritual. It provided me a meditative space to think about our day and how I was feeling about it. Most importantly, it provided a centering to prepare myself mentally and emotionally for the next day. I’m still putting the words together for the powerful and life-changing experience we just had, so for now, I’ll just share glimpses into the vibe of our days through my art - the centripetal force grounding this delegation in the first place. Shukran for a life-changing experience solidifying my love and solidarity for the liberation of Palestine. Hasta la victoria, siempre. Pa’lante!
