Since our founding, Eyewitness Palestine's work has always been grounded in racial justice principles. Our programs and philosophy are developed with the understanding that it is not enough to fight injustice in Palestine without working for justice for all oppressed people and especially for those directly related to our own communities here in the US.
We've spent years incorporating these principles into our orientations for all delegations and in the type of solidarity work we prioritized. It was with great excitement that we developed and launched our Racial Justice & Equity Curriculum for our delegations in 2018. Through this curriculum, delegates and staff connect for three trainings before they travel on one of our delegations, which lead to deeper understanding of the structural racism and apartheid in Palestine/Israel.
The curriculum described below is not just for our delegations but for any local Palestine solidarity group in the US!
We are now offering a customized curriculum for local Palestine solidarity organizing groups!
Achieve a clearer, collective understanding of what racial justice and equity looks like internally and externally in community organizing spaces.
Better assess and promote racial justice health within your organization.
Organize better to connect all of your work towards justice for all, collective liberation.
Cost of trainings will depend on organizational size, budget, and training design.

What Participants are Saying…
“The Eyewitness Palestine RJ&E [Racial & Equity] training is an excellent introduction to anti-racism praxis. The trainers... are excellent facilitators and both sensitive to the groups needs and knowledgeable about the material. As a group of primarily Jewish activists, we were helped in growing our activism in a way that centers Palestinian voices.”
-Harry S. - organizer in Westchester, CT
“Eyewitness Palestine staff were responsive to our unique needs as an organization and provided us with a breadth of reading materials and other tools to advance our efforts towards racial justice and equity.”
-Cheryl Q. - organizer in Hudson Valley, NY
“Eyewitness Palestine's Racial Justice & Equity Training for Palestine activists was truly impressive... Even when the discussion got a bit contentious and uncomfortable, it was facilitated with patience and grace... What was particularly impressive was the session at the end where we came up with concrete concerns and issues that we have in our chapter. We came up with some ways to address these issues and next steps for our members... I can only hope that many other organizations can have the benefit of this training.”
-Liana S. - organizer in Washington DC
We hope you felt inspired by the Beyond Connecting the Dots Virtual Summit and that it is a jumping off point for action! Take a look through the various actions compiled here as ways to get involved NOW, from the US to Palestine.
First, here are some direct asks from Amira Mattar, Palestinian American attorney and Michael Ratner Justice Fellow at Palestine Legal:
We are not free until we are all free. Follow your passion and drive for liberation and let that work inform and guide your solidarity with all other freedom struggles.
Center the justice demands. Now more than ever is the time to boost up the voices of the grassroots. Freedom is the Future, Invest in Justice for All campaign, Movement for Black Lives policy platforms, the Red Nation demands, and so much more. We need to be uplifting & centering those voices now.
Exercise radical imagination. Now more than ever is a moment primed for innovation. It is a time to be creative with our justice demands which go beyond survival-- that urge thriving, that cement sustained liberation for all of us.
