Eyewitness Palestine delegate Melissa Nussbaum wrote a letter to the editor, published in the Cape Code Times, signed by 15 other Cape Cod residents.

She writes: 

“I have been a fan and family, as audience and actor, of Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater for many years, so I was surprised to receive an invitation to travel through Israel on the part of WHAT.

This past July I traveled to Israel with the Interfaith Peace-Builders with a delegation of Jews, Muslims and Christians bearing witness to what is happening in Israel today.

I did not observe or “enjoy the beauty and warmth of Israel’s people and its history.” Rather than “enjoy the creativity of modern Israel,” I found modern Israel crushing Palestinians in my name.””
