RACE, CLASS AND MONEY IN PALESTINE/ISRAEL DELEGATION

JUNE 2022

This delegation was three years in the making, and it has finally arrived. 22 participants will learn from our Palestinian and Israeli partners about Race, Class, & Money in Palestine/Israel.

We are thrilled that this delegation included four people from the Let’s Get Free program. Eyewitness Palestine teamed up with the March for Racial Justice to develop this educational program that centers direct experience Palestine/Israel for a contingent of Black youth leaders and mentors, connecting the struggle against Anti-Blackness and racism in the US with the international struggle for Palestinian freedom. We would love to have even more!

Unfortunately, two delegates, Maurice and Mike, had to postpone their trip due to health and program funding issues. Many people did fund-raise, host parties, write grant applications, and spread the word. We thank each and every one of you for your support. We will continue to fund-raise for this program, and we hope that we can send Maurice and Mike on a future delegation.

It is more clear than ever that many countries around the world are capitalizing from the on-going occupation of Palestine. The Race, Class, & Money Delegates spent just over a week taking an in-depth look at the daily realities for Palestinians and the ways that race, class, and money have intertwined with the Israeli colonization of Palestine from the birth of this colonial conflict until today. Delegates connected with Palestinians and Israelis working in solidarity understand and undermine these dynamics.
