An Attack on Al Aqsa

We survived an Israeli attack on Masjid Al Aqsa today. I was excited to attend Jummah prayers at Masjid Al Aqsa. Access to the masjid is ordinarily restricted so that everyday Palestinians cannot attend prayers, but those restrictions are lighter for Jummah prayers.

Touring the Old City today I struggled to take in the rich history of Jerusalem because of the constant reminder of the violent settler colonialism taking place. Around every corner there were reminders that screamed Palestinians are not welcome in their own land.
